Speaker Bios:
René Christian Reichl
Since graduating from University in Germany in 2001 René has worked exclusively on tunnel projects utilizing pressurized face tunnel boring machines (Slurry, EPB or Hybrids). He took on different leadership or key roles on projects in North America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Besides expert knowledge about tunnel boring machine technology and tunnel construction René is also skilled in cost and schedule management (Primavera), claims analysis and reporting.
In North America, René has worked on TBM tunneling projects in California, Washington, Florida, Virginia, New York, British Columbia, and Ontario. He worked full-time on-site as part of the owner’s Construction Management teams on three (3) of the four largest pressurized face TBM projects in the US (Port of Miami Tunnel (13 m), SR99 Bored Tunnel in Seattle (17.5 m) and Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (14 m). He also supported several clients as a panel member for design review and value engineering.
Rene was further leading setup and application of the TBM data monitoring software Tunnel Process Control (TPC) on more than 15 different TBM projects in North America. Rene provided user training and guidance during TBM excavation.
