TAC Publication - Canadian Tunnelling Memories and Achievements - Requires Your Pictures
The Tunnelling Association of Canada is excited to announce that we will be publishing a unique hardcover "Coffee Table" style book this year to highlight the many tunnelling memories and achievements in Canada to date. Member support in the form of picture contributions are vital to the success of this long-awaited endeavor.

2015 Tunnelling Association of Canada Award Recipients
TAC was pleased to recognize Brian Garrod as the 2015 recipient of the Canadian Tunneller of the Year Award at the presentation of the 2015 TAC Achievement Awards on Monday, October 5 in Kingston, Ontario. Other award winners included:

- Innovative Project of the Year – Mayo B Hydroelectric Enhancement Project;
- Infrastructure Project of the Year – Toronto York-Spadina Subway Extension Twin Tunnels Project; and
- Photo of the Year – Port Mann Water Supply Tunnel (David Blackwell).
2015 Dan Eisenstein Memorial Scholarship
TAC is pleased to announce that Josephine Morgenroth is the 2015 recipient of the Dan Eisenstein Memorial Scholarship. A BScE graduate of Queen's University in Geological Engineering, Ms. Morgenroth is currently in the first year of her Master's program working with Dr. Dwayne Tannant at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus. Her broad field of study is rock mechanics, with particular interest in probabilistic modeling of tunnel excavation. Her research is focused on mining historical tunneling data and applying it to a Dynamic Bayesian Network in order to iteratively predict cost and schedule for comparable tunnel excavations. Congratulations Josephine!
